Book Review: Spark Joy by Marie Kondo

At first when I checked out this book, I thought it was a self help inspirational book. When I read about the tedious details of how to fold laundry, I laughed but also became hooked. This book is both useful and charming. I’m going to have my kids read it. Kondo includes diagrams of folding laundry, pictures of organized spaces. There is something attractive about the simplicity of this method. I didn’t input every recommendation Kondo made but found several arrangements useful. The result is unavoidable: a home with a vision of life that truly sparks joy.

You could say that tidying orders the mind while cleaning purifies it. -Marie Kondo
